![]() ![]() In Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, it is revealed that she has a beauty mark on the right side of her chin (in contrast to her daughter's found on the left). The full description in Tag Climax explains Rosa's robes are woven from her own hair, just like Bayonetta's. She also wears her rose-shaped Umbran Watch around her neck. Her hood extends into a split veil and she has chains tied around her neck and wrists. They consist of a black bodysuit with red and gold accents and various loose belts on the limbs. In Bayonetta 2, Rosa sports a design that is an extension of her prison outfit, named the Robes of Banishment. In concept art, her hair is light brown. She also wears a butterfly mask which she eventually gave to her daughter. Initially before her imprisonment, she wore a long black dress with a pointed hood and a face mask obscuring her mouth. ![]() In Bayonetta, Rosa is only seen in Bayonetta's memories. Before being moved to an even further prison, she would often sing lullabies as Cereza would rest against the steel bars of her cell, showing nothing but the deepest maternal love for her precious daughter. Some of the Umbra even sympathise with her plight, overlooking her daughter Cereza sneaking to her cell, or even finding chances for the two to meet.Ĭereza's precious stuffed toy was made by Rosa from whatever she could gather. This has led many to think she understood and agreed to the consequences of her actions before even taking them. She has never revealed why she would go against Umbran teachings and have forbidden relations with a Lumen, but she has accepted her isolation without the slightest resistance, despite all the power she possesses. Mother of Cereza.įalling in love with a Lumen Sage, she broke the sacred vows of the Umbra and bore a child with him, resulting in her eternal imprisonment. That’s like saying Lara Croft is 2nd-party to Microsoft because the latest Tomb Raider game is exclusive to the XB1.Īll regardless from me having doubts about “2nd-party” even being a factually correct term.An Umbra Witch unparalleled in skill, thought to possibly be the strongest in the entire history of the clan. Bayonetta belongs to Platinum Games, a 3rd-party developer that brings/brought games to other platforms as well, including Bayonetta 1. Personally, I think there were a couple better options, but if Sakurai thinks she’s the best choice, then sure, it’s not like I’m going to stop him or anything, hah.Īnd no, Bayonetta is not 2nd-party. I don’t necessarily think it was a bad decision, or that she shouldn’t be in there I’m just expressing my personal view on her inclusion, and comparing her “status” to the other fighters that have been in the game. Sakurai and Nintendo obviously thought otherwise, and that’s what should matter to people at the end of the day. I guess I just don’t think she’s relevant enough (don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying she’s not relevant at all) in comparison to the rest of 3rd-party characters that have been previously chosen. I think it’s alright for Nintendo to go a bit more easy in relation to selection of their own characters, as long as their biggest mascots are already in, but 3rd-party characters should be chosen with absolute care, imo. ![]() In my view, it would have been a better choice if she was a character that could match up to them, because we’re talking about SSB, the fighting game featuring some of the most iconic characters from the entire video game industry. I just don’t believe she’s anywhere close to being up there with them. Exactly – she’s in the roster with characters that have greatly influenced + been huge icons of the video game world for 20-30 years now. ![]()
